If all goes to plan, Alyssa Valdez will make her long-awaited return for the Creamline Cool Smashers by the next PVL season.

As she recovered from her injuries, Valdez sat out and cheered at the sidelines during Creamline’s campaigns in the 2024 PVL Reinforced and Invitational Conferences.

The former PVL MVP has been out since May after Creamline’s championship-clinching five-set win over the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the 2024 All-Filipino Conference.

But having time to recover and prepare, the Creamline superstar is raring to return to the taraflex with her teammates as soon as the lengthy All-Filipino Conference begins.

“Well, that’s really the plan to hopefully be playing 100% next conference,” Valdez told One Sports.

It wasn’t just Valdez who missed time in the PVL. Joining her at the sidelines was fellow Creamline teammate Tots Carlos, who also sat out both conferences.

PLDT High Speed Hitters’ star spikers Kianna Dy and Savi Davison also sat out for most of the season. Add to that MJ Phillips of the Petro Gazz Angels, Des Cheng of Choco Mucho, and Jolina Dela Cruz of the Farm Fresh Foxies.

“Hopefully sa lahat ng mga merong injuries na mga atleta ngayon, sana makabalik din tayo ng buong buo, buong puso, saka mentally braver pagdating sa mga susunod na laban,” said Valdez.

The Phenom’s anticipated return will significantly boost an already-stacked Cool Smashers, who completed the historic grand slam.

With Valdez set to return to action, what’s stopping Creamline from another go at the feat?
