This video is about the cancellation of the semi-finals matches between Akari versus PLDT and Creamline versus Signal in the Philippine Volleyball League (PVL) due to a power outage.

The matches were originally scheduled for Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Field Sport Arena in Pasig City, but were postponed to Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The cancellation of the matches sparked controversy after Akari spiker Gretel Soltones posted a cryptic message on social media that was interpreted by some as a dig at Creamline. Soltones later denied that her message was intended to target Creamline, and said that she was simply asking for clarification about the reason for the cancellation of the matches.

Despite the controversy, both Creamline and Signal are determined to advance to the finals of the PVL Reinforced Conference. Creamline will face Signal in the semi-finals on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
