As Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky take on the Washington Mystics on Thursday, the rookie had plenty of tickets to buy for her friends and family from her nearby hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

“It’s a lot of people,” Reese said. “Obviously from Saint Frances [Academy], from Baltimore, from my family, from high school, middle school, elementary school, hair stylists—everybody’s coming out tonight. A lot of people are going to be able to come, obviously, I got a lot of tickets. I had to pay for a lot of tickets, but it’s okay, it’s worth it.”

As Reese said, she has an extensive guest list of Baltimore locals for Thursday’s matchup, but her coach from LSU, Kim Mulkey, made the trip up from Baton Rouge to see her former star in action as well.

Reese is looking to put on a show in front of her friends and family and continue a strong start to her first year in the WNBA. Through eight games, Reese is putting up 10.9 points and nine rebounds per game as the Sky have gone 3-5.

Chicago is taking on the Mystics for the first time this season on Thursday, and Reese will get the chance to play in front of her friends and family again in just over a week as the Sky travel back to Washington on June 14.
