The matchups are set for the quarterfinals of the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference which begins on Saturday, August 24 at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

The eight-team knockout playoffs will be headlined by a rematch of the 2019 PVL Reinforced finals between the Creamline Cool Smashers and two-time defending champion Petro Gazz Angels.

The two teams already met earlier this season with former PVL Best Import Wilma Salas and the Angels coming away with a hard-fought win against the Cool Smashers.

League-leader Akari Chargers, who completed the eight-game sweep in the preliminaries, will face the Farm Fresh Foxies, who secured their playoff spot after beating the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on Thursday.

Akari and Farm Fresh had just met on Tuesday, where the Chargers dominated the Foxies for a clean sweep en route to their 8-0 record.

Meanwhile, the Capital1 Solar Spikers’ dream run will be challenged by the second seed Cignal HD Spikers, who finished the elimination round with a seven-game winning streak.

All eyes will be on super import Marina Tushova as she looks to carry the Solar Spikers to another historic victory once more.

Last but not the least, the PLDT High Speed Hitters and Chery Tiggo Crossovers will highlight a showdown between two returning imports—Elena Samoilenko and Khat Bell.

PLDT and Chery Tiggo have also faced each other early on in the tournament, with Bell and the Crossovers escaping with a five-set victory.

Of course, things are different come the quarterfinals, with the stakes at its highest.
