MANILA – Creamline superstars Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlos have yet to play in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.

Its huge fanbase surely misses both three-time PVL Most Valuable Players, but injuries continue to hinder their return, according to coach Sherwin Meneses.

Meneses said it remains unsure whether Valdez and Carlos would see action for Creamline in the next round.

“As of now hindi pa namin sigurado. Hopefully makasama sila,” said Meneses after a 25-18, 25-18, 25-20 triumph over Nxled on Thursday at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

“Depende kasi sa medical team namin, sa mga PTs namin kung kailan sila makakabalik. Pero hindi pipilitin. Sa tingin ko ‘yung roster ngayon ‘yung maglalaro,” he went on.

Despite missing the services of Valdez and Carlos, Cool Smashers rose to top of Pool A action and gained momentum on their side as they enter Pool C with a four-game unbeaten run.

For Michele Gumabao, discipline and hard work paved the way for the All-Filipino champs.

“Siguro number one ‘yung tiyaga and disiplina talaga namin. So we start in practice na kahit anong results ng game, kailangan kami hard working, kailangan alam namin ‘yung trabaho namin, ‘yung kailangan naming gawin and do our best.

In addition to that, trust plays a pivotal role in Creamline’s resiliency, said Gumabao.

“Siguro ‘yung tiwala na lang din namin, ‘yung tiwala namin kay God, sa coaches namin, the trust that we have for our teammates, sa management namin.”
