Alyssa Valdez Speaks Up! Is She Really Retiring From Volleyball Soon? (Not Yet, Phenom!)
Alyssa Valdez, one of the most popular volleyball players in the Philippines, has been the subject of much speculation recently about her plans for retirement. In a recent interview, Valdez addressed these rumors and revealed that while retirement has crossed her mind, she is not planning on hanging up her spikes just yet.
Valdez, who is now 31 years old, admitted that she has been thinking about retirement lately, especially given the toll that injuries have taken on her body. However, she also emphasized that she is still passionate about volleyball and is determined to get back on the court and play at a high level.
“Retirement has crossed my mind in such a way that at this age you have to plan,” Valdez said. “But believe it or not, I don’t know why this is happening, is Al Li ofes going to retire so has has retirement crossed your mind? I’d say it crossed my mind in such a way that at this age you have to plan man tala yes yes that’s how many years if if we’re basing the age K PL that probably 5 to 6 years with this with the injury with all the injuries.
I’ve had recently I realized now I think I want to get back that feeling now so gos right now but definitely if you’re going to ask me if I retirement uh crossed my mind definitely cuz I mean at the end of the day I have to plan for my future as well since we are I’ve been doing great uh as of now ah.
I’ve been doing a lot of a lot of exercises now and hopefully soon I can join practice as well may timeline I honestly doctors ands I’ve been really recovering well so the the timeline if uh the timeline in the timetable sure they want me to get back 100% so hopefully guys I’m praying now I’ll see you guys on court this F.”
Valdez also revealed that she has been working hard to get her body back in shape and is hopeful that she will be able to return to practice soon. She said that her doctors have been pleased with her progress and that she is confident that she will be able to make a full recovery.

While Valdez did not give a definitive timeline for her return to the court, she did say that she is hopeful that she will be able to play again this season. She also expressed her gratitude for the support that she has received from her fans during her recovery.
