JACKSON Corpuz’s close to five-year stay at Magnolia is over.

The Hotshots finally parted ways with the scrappy forward who became as known for his fancy, ever-changing hair color as his hustle on the floor.

Coach Chito Victolero confirmed the team’s decision to let go of the 35-year-old power forward from Ilagan, Isabela.

Corpuz came on board Magnolia via trade with Terrafirma for veteran big man Aldrech Ramos.

In his stint with the Hotshots, Corpuz played in the finals twice, but Magnolia failed to win the title both times, including in the last Commissioner’s Cup.

Corpuz just played nine games in his last year with the team during Season 48.

Eriobu signs one-year deal

This developed as forward Joseph Eriobu was signed a one-year extension by Magnolia.

The exit of Corpuz is among the several changes the Hotshots adopted going to the coming PBA Season 49.

Also gone were the duo of Jio Jalalon and Abu Tratter who were traded to Northport for sophomore big man Zavier Lucero

The Hotshots also picked guard Jerom Lastimosa in the last draft and will sign rookie free agent Peter Alfaro before the season begins.
