San Miguel Beermen Dominate Ginebra Kings in PBA Governors’ Cup

Marcio Lassiter Makes History, San Miguel Cruises to Victory

In a thrilling game that saw a historic milestone and a dominant performance, the San Miguel Beermen cruised to a victory over the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup. The game, which was broadcast on YouTube, featured a standout performance from Marcio Lassiter who etched his name in the PBA record books.

Lassiter, known for his sharpshooting abilities, entered the game needing three three-pointers to tie Jimmy Alapag’s record for most career three-pointers in the PBA. The veteran guard wasted no time, knocking down all three triples in the first quarter and becoming the league’s all-time three-point leader.

The Beermen’s dominance extended beyond Lassiter’s historic achievement. They controlled the game from start to finish, leading by as much as 40 points in the third quarter. CJ Perez and Junemar Fajardo also contributed significantly to the victory, with Perez scoring 18 points and Fajardo adding 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Ginebra Kings struggled to find their rhythm on both ends of the floor. They shot just 31% from the field and were outrebounded by the Beermen. Despite their efforts, they were unable to mount a comeback against the dominant San Miguel squad.

With this victory, the San Miguel Beermen secured the top spot in Group B of the PBA Governors’ Cup. Their impressive performance and Lassiter’s historic achievement have solidified their status as one of the top contenders for the championship.
