Gilas Pilipinas big man Kai Sotto recently graced the red carpet with rising actress Rere Madrid during a fundraising event.

In a striking display of contrasts at the glamorous gala, Kai made a bold entrance in an impeccable all-white suit, exuding confidence and sophistication.

By his side is Rere, who captivated onlookers in a black bralette top adorned with puffy sleeves, paired flawlessly with a sleek black tube-cut skirt that accentuated her slender waist.

The growing friendship between the two sparked speculation on social media about a hard launch moment for their relationship.

In the latter part of May, the 7-foot-3 center posted a photo of him with the actress on his Instagram story.

The speculation gained momentum following their simultaneous posting of a photo featuring a close-up of a hand tenderly resting on a thigh, yet notably without revealing their faces for Vogue Philippines.

The Gilas Pilipinas stalwart has also left a coy “hi” comment on a TikTok video by Madrid, setting fans abuzz with excitement.

Rere playfully replied with a sweet “hi bb,” sending their followers into a frenzy of curiosity.

While the real score between Kai and Rere remains shrouded in mystery, fans can take solace in knowing that they are enjoying each other’s company to the fullest.

Sotto is currently recovering from his injury after his bad fall against Georgia in the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Kai is set to suit up for the Koshigaya Alphas in Japan’s B.League. As for his Gilas duties, the Philippine national team will soon gear up for the November window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers against New Zealand on November 21, followed by a showdown against Hong Kong on November 24 in the Philippines.
