Middle blocker Ced Domingo bid farewell to Creamline Cool Smashers, the team announced on their social media accounts.
Domingo left the reigning back-to-back All-Filipino Conference champion of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) to play overseas.

“We are proud and excited to announce that with great respect and understanding, Creamline management has carefully considered Ceddie’s request to play for a foreign team, and has granted her permission to pursue her dreams abroad,” said Creamline management in their official statement.
“While this decision impacts our own team’s title chances, we believe that supporting her in achieving her personal goals and in being recognized as one of a handful of Filipina volleyball players to be invited as a foreign reinforcement is an important part of our commitment to her growth as an athlete,” the statement added.
Further details about Domingo’s foreign team are to be disclosed soon.
“Ceddie and Virtual Playground will be sharing details of where she will take her talents soon,” the post continued.

The Cool Smashers expressed their gratitude and sent their best wishes to the 24-year-old standout out of the Far Eastern University.
“As Ced begins her new adventure, our hearts go with her, and we are thankful for the incredible moments we’ve shared. We’ll support you every step of the way,” Creamline said in the caption of their statement.

Domingo skipped the Cool Smashers’ opening match against Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the second All-Filipino Conference last Sunday, which the Sherwin Meneses-mentored squad won in four sets.
She is the second Cool Smasher after Jia Morado-De Guzman to leave the club to play volleyball abroad.
Japan V. League’s Denso Airybees signed De Guzman in September this year.

Ced Domingo’s volleyball track record

Domingo began her University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) career while playing for the University of the East (UE) Lady Red Warriors in 2015-2016.
She transferred to FEU and served her one-year residency before suiting up for the Lady Tamaraws from 2017 to 2019.
In her stint at Sampaloc, Manila, she bagged the Best Blocker award during UAAP Season 80 and was part of the FEU squad that finished runner-up behind De La Salle University.
Domingo and the Lady Tamaraws also finished runner-up in back-to-back PVL Collegiate Conferences in 2017 and 2018.
Domingo’s professional career started at PayMaya High Flyers and Smart Giga Hitters before moving to Creamline in 2019.
In CCS’ camp, the 175-meter tall Domingo became a four-time PVL champion, alongside three silvers and a bronze.
Individually at the pro level, she garnered the Finals Most Valuable Player plum in the 2022 Invitational Conference and the Second Best Middle Blocker award in the 2023 Invitational Conference.
Since 2019, Domingo has represented the Philippines in international tournaments.
