MANILA (UPDATED) — The Creamline Cool Smashers successfully clinched their eighth Premier Volleyball League (PVL) title.

Creamline closed out the 2024 All-Filipino Conference on Mother’s Day by defeating the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 20-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11 in Game 2 of their Finals series at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Leading the four-peat champions was Finals MVP Jema Galanza who finished with 20 points, all coming from attacks, but she deflected all the credit to her teammates.

“Yung laro kasi, nilaro namin. Hindi lang isa yung naglalaro or isa lang yung gumagawa, team kami nag laro kaya nakuha namin tong game na ‘to,” she said during the post-game presser.

“Alam naman namin na hindi madali, na hindi nila ibibgay agad-agad samin ‘to kaya umabot talaga ng five sets. Alam naman natin kung gaano rin talaga lumalaban yung Choco Mucho so kami, ano lang, naniwala lang din kami sa isa’t isa Gusto lang talaga namin makuha itong game na to,” she continued.

Also starring in their win were Bernadeth Pons who finished with 17 markers, Tots Carlos’ 16 points, and Pangs Panaga who had 13, while Kyle Negrito was also vital in their triumph as she tossed 23 of Creamline’s 26 excellent receptions.
