Will the two Cool Smashers see action soon?

Why Ced Domingo, Kyla Atienza missed Creamline

PVL

The Creamline Cool Smashers arguably have the biggest adjustment to make in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference with the departure of Jia de Guzman and the emergence of Kyle Negrito as the defending champion’s top setter.

That wasn’t felt at all in their opener against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans as Creamline carved out a four-set win to start the season-ending conference with Bernadeth Pons leading the charge.

With that convincing opening day victory, Cool Smashers supporters might have missed that two key players are also missing for the girls in pink: middle blocker Ced Domingo and libero Kyla Atienza.

Coach Sherwin Meneses shared why the two were sideline last Sunday.

“Nagre-recover sila sa injury nila e, especially Kyla kasi last conference medyo may injury,” Meneses said in the post-game interview.

“‘Yung kay Ced naman galing siya sa bunot ng ngipin.”

When could fans expect to see Domingo and Atienza in action though?

“Let’s see, hindi namin masabi. ‘Yun pa lang ang latest.”

For now, Creamline will focus on getting better on a day-to-day basis as they aim to be healthy in the long run to defend the title.

The Cool Smashers will take on the Cignal HD Spikers on Saturday.
