“There is a story hidden in every love, and an untold truth in every story.” Salman Khan & Aishwarya
Throwback! When Aishwarya Rai refused to comment on her relationship with Salman Khan: I’ve exorcised my demons; it’s a thing of the past
Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan’s highly publicized break-up after starring together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam continues to gather attention even years later.
When host Simi asked Aishwarya to ‘look back at the Salman episode objectively’, she stated, “I think I have quite shut it out. I think I wouldn’t want to get into looking at it any which way and especially on a public platform. I really wouldn’t want to.” And when the host asked Aishwarya if she felt negatively about the incident, the actress had quipped, “I’ve exorcised my demons; it’s a thing of the past; it needs to be left right there.”
Aishwarya had further justified that speaking about her former relationship with Salman Khan might also affect her family life which is why she doesn’t speak about it, “I am not a soloist… With me comes my family, my loved ones, people I love and care about very dearly. So there is an obvious wall. Yes there is; and there is no denial of it.”
Years after she separated from Salman Khan, Aishwarya found love in Abhishek Bachchan. The couple tied the knot in 2007 and welcomed daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in 2011.

Sohail Khan accused Aishwarya of two-timing Salman and Vivek
While Salman Khan keeps his relationship with his ex-lovers extremely private, Sohail Khan didn’t take to Rai’s comment well and slammed her for never acknowledging her relationship with Salman openly. He said, “Now she (Aishwarya) weeps in public. When she was going around with him when she used to visit our home so often like part of the family, did she ever acknowledge the relationship? She never did. That made Salman feel insecure. He wanted to know how much she wanted him. She would never let him be sure of that.”
Sohail then stated that the ‘Devdas’ actress was constantly in touch with Salman even after starting to go out with Vivek Oberoi. He indirectly stressed that he was two-timing with Salman and Vivek at the time. He divulged, “Aishwarya was in constant touch with Salman till recently on the mobile and that’s what upset Vivek.”
Now, strong reports have emerged that Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage is going through its toughest phase. While these rumours are yet to be confirmed, there are several reports of the couple heading towards a ‘grey divorce.’
