Alyssa Valdez is a Filipino Volleyball Player. She is a multi- awarded athlete and considered to be one of the best collegiate volleyball players in the Philippines today. Alyssa Valdez was known for the last 5 years because of her big contribution in the development of Philippine Volleyball. She is  commonly known for her extraordinary volleyball skills and love for the sport. For the past half a decade, she was named as “The Face of Philippine Volleyball” , “The Phenom” and  “The Queen Eagle” because she influenced the life of millions of her fans all over the world.

FROM TIGRESS TO LADY EAGLE   

Having developed her volleyball skills, she later played in the Southern Tagalog (Calabarzon) Athletic Association ( STACAA), it is a regional sports meet for elementary and highschool students athletes. After that, she was discovered and recruited by the University of Santo Thomas (UST), where she played for their high school varsity volleyball team, the UST tigress Club. Alyssa was UST’s top highschool volleyball player who led the UST to several championship, three titles in UAAP , one in Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League. She was two-time MVP in the UAAP and once in the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League.After playing for UST, she was recruited by Ateneo de Manila University to play for their collegiate varsity volleyball team.

Alyssa Valdez became popular nationwide when she started to play for the Ateneo de Manila University (Admu) because she continued to be more passionate and talented in the game of volleyball. She led Ateneo into it’s 5 straight finals appearances since she joined the team ( UAAP season 74-78).  Alyssa was a player who bagged many individual awards, and she is the only player in the league who received 4 individual awards in a single UAAP season. Her Excellence in volleyball also reached national and international level where she also stands out.
