Bernadeth Pons and import Erica Staunton connived to steer Creamline to a 25-20, 24-26, 25-16, 25-19 victory over erstwhile undefeated Chery Tiggo in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.

Pons led all scorers and tallied a double-double effort of 25 points and 23 receptions, alongside seven digs, while Staunton churned out 21 markers as the still-undermanned Cool Smashers cruised to their second straight victory after a conference-opener loss to PLDT for a 2-1 card.

Still without Alyssa Valdez, Jema Galanza, and Tots Carlos, Creamline got further depleted by the absence of Pangs Panaga, but the rest of the squad stepped up big time. Veteran opposite hitter Michele Gumabao chipped in 17 points while Bea De Leon chimed in with 12 points.

The Crossovers, meanwhile, absorbed their first defeat in the import-laced conference as they dropped to an identical 2-1 slate.

The loss spoiled a 31-point outburst from import Khat Bell, who also collected eight digs and nine receptions while Ara Galang contributed 12 points.

In other games, PLDT remained unscathed after making quick work of Nxled, 32-30, 25-18, 25-17, while Farm Fresh survived an extended five-set clash against Galeries Tower, 25-22, 35-37, 23-25, 25-20, 15-10, to barge into the win column.

The High Speed Hitters improved to 3-0 to continue leading Pool A while the Chameleons dropped to 1-2.
