PBA Record si BROWNLEE pero may BAD news! Balik PBA former import ng SMB ! Ginebra status sa Game 2
Justin Brownlee Sets PBA Record But Suffers Injury
Justin Brownlee, the star import of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel (SMB) in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), has set a new league record while also dealing with an injury.
In Game 1 of the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals against the Meralco Bolts, Brownlee scored 33 points, including 20 from beyond the arc. This performance gave him the record for most four-point field goals made in a single game and most consecutive four-point field goals made without a miss in a single game in PBA history.
However, Brownlee also left the game in the first quarter with a calf injury. He was able to return to the game but did not look 100%. The injury is a concern for Ginebra as they prepare for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers in November.
Meanwhile, there has been some discussion among SMB fans about replacing their current import, EJ Anjo, with former import Cameron Clark. Anjo has struggled in recent games, while Clark is a proven scorer and defender. However, Clark is currently playing for the Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions and would not be available to join SMB until the next conference.
It remains to be seen how Brownlee’s injury will affect Ginebra’s chances in the PBA Governors’ Cup. The team will also need to make a decision about whether or not to replace Anjo with Clark.
