Barangay Ginebra defeated the defending champion New Taipei Kings in an exhibition match held in Macao on July 31, 2024. The game was part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macao’s establishment as a Special Administrative Region of China.

Ginebra was missing several key players due to injury, including Scotty Thomson, Jamie Malonzo, and Jeremiah Grey. Justin Brownlee was also absent due to his commitment to the Indonesian national team. Despite these absences, Ginebra was able to secure a 91-87 victory over the Kings.
