Ced Domingo reveals ‘hard decision’ as she leaves Creamline for Akari
Ced makes move to Akari official
CED Domingo’s momentous four-year stint with Creamline has come to an end as she made her more to the Akari Chargers official on Saturday.

“Leaving Creamline is always a hard decision. That’s how it felt in October, lalo na biglaan yung Thailand stint offer, but I thought this opportunity doesn’t come often so I grabbed it. No regrets because there are so much learnings here na i know I will cherish from this.
“And this time, another hard decision to leave them for good. Honestly, the management has always been so understanding and until the last conversation I had with Sir Alan [Acero], I still really felt valued kaya I will always have high respect to the whole Creamline family,” Domingo said through her talent agency VP Global Management.
Shortly after copping her first-ever Finals MVP honors in the 2022 Invitationals, the desire to further flex her ‘flashy’ connection with ace setter Jia De Guzman prompted her contract renewal for the 2023 season.
But with De Guzman’s ongoing Japan stint on top multiple opportunities that went her way, Domingo figured it was best to ‘step out of her comfort zone’ and join Akari.
“Nakakaoverwhelm yung mga pangyayari. Ganun pala yun, pag binuksan mo yung pinto tapos ang daming kumakatok, talagang nakaka-overwhelm,” said Domingo.
“I’m really happy dito sa naging decision ko especially because I know I took everything into consideration. From nakaka-overwhelm, ngayon excitement na yung na-ffeel ko. It’s been a long time since lumipat ako ng team so I’m very much excited to try a new system and environment,” she added.
Domingo is set for a mini-reunion with some of her former college and U23 national team cohorts in Bang Pineda, Justine Jazareno, Ezra Madrigal, and Roselle Baliton.
