Blackpink Celebrates 8th Anniversary with Special Events Amidst Controversy Over New Poster
To mark their 8th anniversary, YG Entertainment has announced a series of special events for Blackpink. These celebrations provide a unique opportunity for the popular girl group to interact with their fans and commemorate a significant milestone in their music career.
Special Events for the 8th Anniversary
On August 8th, Blackpink will hold a screening event and fan signing session for 88 lucky fans. This exclusive event will allow fans to meet and greet the members of Blackpink up close.
The following day, on August 9th, members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will attend a “pink carpet” event at Yeongdeungpo Times Square, followed by a stage welcome at the CGV Atria Square located on the 1st Floor of the Yeongdeungpo Time Square ScreenX Theater.
New Poster Sparks Mixed Reactions
Alongside these announcements, YG Entertainment also released a new poster for the “Born Pink” theatrical tour. However, the poster received mixed reactions from fans, particularly those of Lisa.
Some fans expressed disappointment, pointing out that despite the abundance of photos of Lisa from her world tour, YG Entertainment continues to use the same image for group events. This has led to frustration among Lisa’s supporters, who feel that her individuality and recent achievements are being overlooked.
Lisa’s Appearance at the Paris Olympics
