Marvel Cinematic Universe star Ryan Reynolds has confessed his love for BLACKPINK.

During the promotional tour of the movie “Deadpool & Wolverine” in Seoul (South Korea), director Shawn Levy and main actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman received traditional Korean hanbok as gifts for their visit to this country.

The hanboks featured the drama’s signature colors (red and yellow) combined with traditional motifs and especially caught the audience’s attention when the host pointed out that they were designed by the same person who designed BLACKPINK’s iconic costumes at Coachella.

Before this statement, Ryan Reynolds – the actor who plays Deadpool, revealed that he really likes BLACKPINK’s music.

In 2023, news reports from many countries began to report on BLACKPINK’s impressive performance as the first K-pop artist to perform at Coachella, even being dubbed “Korea’s National Treasure”.

They were also amazed by the huge audience in person and online (about 250 million live viewers and a crowd of more than 125 thousand people).

At the time, netizens took to social media to express their boundless pride in the group, while also loving their use of traditional Korean elements and Hanbok-inspired stage costumes.

Recently, according to Korean media, a debate has taken place about the rumor that Jennie (BLACKPINK) may have a guest role in Marvel’s upcoming movie “Deadpool & Wolverine”.

However, many people think this is just a hoax, because the producer used “Jennie (BLACKPINK)” instead of her acting name “Jennie Ruby Jane” (meaning in the Hollywood market, Jennie takes the stage name Jennie Ruby Jane).

But there are also many others who believe it to be true, looking at a screenshot of a scene rumored to have multiple variations of Deadpool.

Then another video was more clear, showing the female idol’s name but the post was later deleted.

However, with no official word from the film’s crew yet, fans are debating whether Jennie is playing a Marvel cameo or if it’s all just a fantasy.
