Fans continuously point out YG Entertainment’s unfair actions towards female idol Lisa, compared to other members of Blackpink.
With over 93 million Instagram followers and being the global ambassador for many luxury brands such as Celine, Bvlgari… Lisa is currently one of the most influential female idols in K-pop.
However, YG Entertainment has repeatedly treated Lisa unfairly, making fans angry.
Lisa had a very successful solo debut on September 10th last year with the single album LALISA , setting a series of huge records worldwide. However, domestic live music shows were completely ignored by YG in the first week of release. It was not until 9 days after the release of LALISA that the youngest member of Blackpink had her first debut stage in Korea.
Lisa then appeared on two shows, Music Core and Inkigayo, on September 25 and 26. In total, Lisa only had three stages to promote her first solo release.

On the contrary, Rosé’s solo debut was favored by YG with a promotion period lasting up to 2 months. During her solo debut, Rosé continuously appeared on weekend stages in Korea.
In addition, after releasing the single album R (2021), Rosé was also allowed by YG to participate in popular programs such as Knowing Brothers , Amazing Saturday or Sea Of Hope organized by JTBC. On the other hand, Lisa did not participate in any TV show to promote LALISA .

Even recently, YG announced its first quarter 2022 revenue, showing that Rosé and Lisa’s solo activities sold more than 1.87 million albums.
However, according to Hanteo, LALISA is currently the best-selling album by a female K-pop artist with sales of about 850,000 copies. Meanwhile, Rosé’s R sold 675,000 copies. From there, according to sales displayed on Hanteo, both Blackpink members sold a total of more than 1.52 million copies.

YG again reported the number up to 1.87 million, making fans wonder where the number of nearly 350 thousand copies compared to reality came from. Some fans suspect that Lisa’s album sales may be much higher than the current number, but the company did not announce it.
In addition to the music industry, YG is also suspected of unfairly treating the Thai-born member of Blackpink in the fashion industry. Previously, at Paris Fashion Week 2021, Lisa was also not allowed by YG to attend due to concerns about the Covid-19 epidemic, while Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé still attended a few days ago. The reason for wanting to protect Lisa’s health was not accepted by many fans.
