Allegations have surfaced that Lisa, a member of the K-pop group Blackpink, was appointed as a Louis Vuitton ambassador due to preferential treatment from Frédéric Arnault, an heir to French billionaire Bernard Arnault.

The luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton announced that Lisa was appointed its House Ambassador on Instagram on Tuesday. Accompanied the announcement were images of the singer in outfits designed by its creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.
Lisa’s frequent appearances with Frédéric have fueled speculation that her promotion to Louis Vuitton’s ambassador was due to her relationship with the billionaire’s heir, as Bernard Arnault is the founder, chairman, and CEO of LVMH—the luxury goods conglomerate of which Louis Vuitton is a subsidiary. Some have even suggested that Lisa maintains a relationship with Frédéric strategically for her career advancement.
Speculations about Lisa and Frédéric’s close ties started when the billionaire heir began following the singer on Instagram in 2022 and liked several of her posts. Lisa has been spotted with Frédéric on several occasions, including a visit to Paris’ Rodin Museum in April and dining together in May this year.
Born Pranpriya Manoban in Thailand, the 27-year-old singer joined Blackpink in 2016 and launched her solo career in 2021 with the album “Lalisa.” Her track “Money” has earned her the distinction of being the first K-pop artist to reach over 1 billion streams on Spotify. She has also become a fashion icon with more than 103 million followers on Instagram.
Frédéric, 29, is the CEO of LVMH’s watch division, responsible for brands such as Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith.
As reported by Forbes, as of July 25, Bernard Arnault and his family rank as the third richest globally, with a fortune estimated at US$180.2 billion. The family’s assets primarily derive from their holdings in LVMH, which encompasses major brands including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Loewe, Celine, and Bulgari.
