Sisi Rondina finally returns to indoor, signs with Choco Mucho

After four long years, Sisi Rondina is finally making a return to indoor volleyball.

Rondina, who decided to focus on her beach volleyball career after winning a bronze medal in the 30th Southeast Asian Games, has signed with Choco Mucho for the upcoming 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference.

The 5-foot-6 dynamo last set foot on a taraflex on October 17, 2019, during the winner-take-all finals of the Philippine Super Liga Invitational Conference when she was still playing for Petron.

Rondina and the Philippine women’s national volleyball team were coming off a heartbreaking stint in the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia, where they were unable to secure a medal, ending their two-year streak of winning bronze in the biennial meet.

The 26-year-old native of Compostela, Cebu, will join former UAAP rivals Bea De Leon, Deanna Wong, Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag, Des Cheng, Aduke Ogunsanya, and former UST indoor and beach volleyball teammate Caitlyn Viray in the Rebisco-backed squad.

With the UAAP Season 81 Most Valuable Player on their team, the Flying Titans are looking to bounce back and finally secure a podium finish after consecutive seventh-place finishes in the 2022 Reinforced Conference and the 2023 All-Filipino Conference.
