Jennie’s controversy happened when she revealed a video of her smoking in a closed space and blowing smoke at the makeup artist. Through her own company Odd Atelier Entertainment, Jennie confirmed that she used e-cigarettes and apologized to the audience and those involved. The female singer said she personally met the staff at the scene and promised to compensate with future maturity.

The incident affected Jennie’s image. She was even reported by netizens to the Korean Embassy in Italy for smoking in an illegal place.

According to Korean media, Jennie and BlackPink held a fan meeting to celebrate their 8th debut anniversary. The location and time of the event have not been announced.
