Ginebra Coach Disappointed, Brownlee Optimistic Ahead of Governor’s Cup

Barangay Ginebra head coach Alfrancis Chua expressed his disappointment with the team’s recent performance in tune-up games. The Kings failed to win a single game, leading Chua to voice his concerns about the team’s preparedness for the upcoming Governor’s Cup.

“We’re not happy with our performance in the tune-up games,” Chua said. “We expected to do better, and it’s a bit concerning that we haven’t been able to get a win.”

Despite the coach’s concerns, import Justin Brownlee remains optimistic about the team’s prospects for the Governor’s Cup. Returning to the Philippines after a successful stint overseas, Brownlee is excited to play with his new teammates and believes that they can form a strong unit.

“I’m really looking forward to playing with this new group,” Brownlee said. “We’ve got a lot of talent and potential, and I think we can do something special this season.”

As Ginebra prepares for the Governor’s Cup, the team will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing tune-up performances. With Brownlee leading the charge and the coaching staff working to address the team’s issues, the Kings will be aiming to make a deep run in the tournament.
