GINEBRA BROWNLEE DISSAPOINTED, EJ ANOSIKE LAUGHS OFF DEFEAT
The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel fell to the San Miguel Beermen in Game 4 of their PBA semi-final series, and their resident import, Justin Brownlee, was left disappointed with the team’s performance. Brownlee scored 49 points in the game but felt that the team’s defense was lacking. “I did everything I could on offense, but the story of the game was our defense,” Brownlee said. “We let them score 131 points, and that’s not acceptable. This is not Barangay Ginebra. We have to be better on defense.”
EJ Anusike, the import for the San Miguel Beermen, had a different perspective on the game. Anusike laughed off Barangay Ginebra’s performance and said that he was looking forward to Game 5. “They didn’t play well, but we’re not going to let them off the hook,” Anusike said. “We’re going to come out and play hard in Game 5.”
The series is now tied at 2-2, and the next two games will be played in a best-of-3 format. Barangay Ginebra will need to improve their defense if they want to advance to the finals.
Brownlee’s Disappointment
Justin Brownlee was clearly disappointed with Barangay Ginebra’s performance in Game 4. He scored 49 points, but the team’s defense was unable to stop the San Miguel Beermen. Brownlee said that the team needed to be better on defense if they wanted to win the series. “We have to be more aggressive on defense,” Brownlee said. “We have to make it harder for them to score.”
Anusike’s Laughter
EJ Anusike, on the other hand, was laughing off Barangay Ginebra’s performance. Anusike said that he was not worried about the team’s chances in Game 5. “We’re going to come out and play hard,” Anusike said. “We’re going to show them what we’re made of.”
Outlook for Game 5
The series is now tied at 2-2, and the next two games will be played in a best-of-3 format. Barangay Ginebra will need to improve their defense if they want to advance to the finals. The San Miguel Beermen are also expected to play better in Game 5. It should be an exciting series finale.
