Sinisisi Ni Chot Reyes Si Mikey Williams! Ginebra Rookie Parang PJ Simon Sabi Ni Tim Cone!
According to the video, TNT Tropang Giga head coach, Chot Reyes, blames former player Mikey Williams for the team’s loss in the quarter finals of the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup. It also talks about Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings head coach, Tim Cone, comparing rookie Paul Garcia to former player PJ Simon.
Specifically, Chot Reyes mentioned that Mikey Williams’ departure left a big hole in the team’s point guard rotation which resulted in their loss to Rain or Shine. He also mentioned that the team’s long-term plan was to have Mikey Williams as the lead point guard, but everything changed when Williams decided to leave.
On the other hand, Tim Cone compared rookie Paul Garcia to PJ Simon, saying that they both play between point guard and shooting guard and can be effective in the triangle offense system. Cone also admitted that he didn’t know Garcia before the PBA rookie draft combine, but was impressed by his shooting, hustle, and defense.
