Barangay Ginebra Advances to PBA Finals with Thrilling Win Over San Miguel Beermen

Barangay Ginebra clinched their spot in the PBA Finals with a dramatic 102-99 victory over the San Miguel Beermen in Game 6 of their semifinal series. The win sends Ginebra to the Finals for the first time since 2018, where they will face either TNT KaTropa or Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok.

The game was a back-and-forth affair that went down to the wire. San Miguel led for most of the first half, but Ginebra stormed back in the third quarter to take a slim lead. The Beermen fought back to tie the game at 99-99 with just seconds left, but Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee hit a game-winning layup with 0.8 seconds remaining to seal the victory.

Brownlee finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead Ginebra. Scottie Thompson added 18 points, while Joe Devance chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

June Mar Fajardo led San Miguel with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Marcio Lassiter added 16 points, while Arwind Santos scored 13 points.

Ginebra will now face either TNT or Magnolia in the PBA Finals, which begin on October 27.
