One of the hottest pieces of news in the K-pop fan community recently is certainly the 15th-anniversary concert of 2NE1 and especially BLACKPINK’s comeback plans and tour in 2025.
On the YG Life website (a site dedicated to news about YG artists), YG stated: “Last year, BLACKPINK signed a full group activity contract with YG ENTERTAINMENT, surpassing the ‘seven-year curse’. Although the members are active individually at ODDATELIER (Jennie), BLISSOO (Jisoo), LLOUD (Lisa), and THEBLACKLABEL (Rosé), their activities as a complete group will continue under YG.”
YG mentions BLACKPINK in the latest article.
YG further shared in the article: “If this year is the solo activity year for the members, next year they will again create a global earthquake as BLACKPINK. Their combination as a complete group is highly anticipated, especially after concluding their recent world tour with an enormous audience of up to 1.5 million people.”
Additionally, YG emphasized: “Despite concerns about relying on BLACKPINK and unsuccessful solo contract negotiations, the impressive activity plans for 2025 have dispelled these worries.”
YG affirms that BLACKPINK will continue to stir and create a global earthquake in 2025.
Furthermore, in the article, YG also mentioned 2NE1’s comeback, which is making fans around the world eagerly wait: “The members of 2NE1, who have pursued their own paths, will celebrate their 15th debut anniversary by joining hands with Yang Hyun Suk and appearing before fans with a series of tours.”
Previously, the four members had an official meeting with Yang Hyun Suk at YG’s new office in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul for the first time in about eight years. 2NE1 plans to start their concerts in October in Seoul, followed by performances in Osaka and Tokyo, and continue with a global tour.”
YG describes this as a project created by Yang Hyun Suk’s decisive action and 2NE1’s strong will. Yang Hyun Suk declared: “This concert will be ‘extraordinary’ because the generation that grew up with 2NE1’s music is sharing a lot of memories. All the staff are working hard to create a successful performance.”
