Coming off a commanding victory, Strong Group-Pilipinas is gearing up for another exciting matchup in the 2024 William Jones Cup as they prepare to face off against Future Sports USA on Thursday, July 18.

In their latest game, Strong Group showcased a well-rounded offensive attack, overpowering Malaysia with a staggering 35-point win, ending the game with a score of 89-54 and maintaining their flawless record of 4-0.

The Philippines had four players scoring in double digits, with Chris McCullough leading the charge with 16 points. Rhenz Abando, a former  Gilas Pilipinas standout, delivered a stellar performance with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Tajuan Agee, Ange Kouame, and DJ Fenner also made notable contributions with 12, 11, and 10 points, respectively.

As Strong Group inches closer to securing the gold medal they last claimed in 2019, all eyes will be on McCullough to lead the team to victory once again against a struggling Future Sports USA squad, which suffered a disappointing 1-4 record in their most recent game.

McCullough has been instrumental in Strong Group’s success, consistently leading the team in scoring throughout the tournament with an impressive average of 20.5 points per game.
