Ginebra Overcomes Meralco in a Clutch Playoff Showdown

The game started with high energy as Ginebra took an aggressive approach right from the first quarter. Spearheaded by Scotty Thompson and Justin Brownlee, Ginebra quickly built a lead with a series of three-point shots, demonstrating their sharpshooting skills. Despite this, Meralco did not back down; Allen Durham and Sam Newsome responded with precision, narrowing the lead to just seven points at the end of the first quarter with a score of 28-21.
Into the second quarter, Meralco began to heat up with Durham and Newsome finding their rhythm, especially from beyond the arc. The Bolts managed to keep the game close, trailing by only seven points at halftime. The intensity continued to build through the third quarter, where Meralco finally managed to tie the game at 52 all, eventually taking a brief lead thanks to a free throw from Bong Quinto.
However, Ginebra’s resolve shone through in the clutch moments.
