Sunita Ahuja Talks About Her Marriage to Govinda and Her Daughter Tina’s Career Aspirations

In a candid interview, Sunita Ahuja, the wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, shared some personal insights into their marriage and the dynamics of their relationship. She revealed that despite being married for over 37 years, she and Govinda do not live together under the same roof. Instead, they primarily stay in separate homes. Govinda often resides at his bungalow due to his late-night meetings and social gatherings, while Sunita lives in their apartment with their children.

Sunita explained, “We have two houses. We have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. He loves talking, so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them.” Despite their separate living arrangements, Sunita emphasized that their relationship remains strong. She also candidly admitted that she had initiated their relationship, as Govinda was initially quite shy and even scared to touch women.

Interestingly, Sunita mentioned that Govinda is not the romantic type in real life, which comes as a revelation for many. “You never know what people do behind your back. Never trust a man,” she said, jokingly adding, “It’s been 37 years since we got married; where would he go?”

Sunita also spoke about her daughter Tina’s desire to work in the film industry. Tina, like many star kids, faces the challenge of dealing with nepotism, and Sunita expressed her frustration with the system. She highlighted how some people are wary of Tina’s father, Govinda, showing up on her film sets and influencing things. “If she gets a good opportunity, why wouldn’t she do it? Give her the opportunity to work. Stop nepotism. Give other people a chance to work too,” Sunita added, stressing that only a selected group of star kids get opportunities, while there are many talented individuals outside this circle who also deserve a chance.

Tina is open to working in the industry, and Sunita is supportive of her pursuing a career if the right opportunity arises. She made it clear that Tina is very passionate about her work, just like many others, and should be given the chance to showcase her talents.
