Abarrientos’ previous experience also includes stints in the KBL and Japan B. League. He was recently part of the SGA team which won the 2024 William Jones Cup title in Taiwan.

The nephew of PBA great Johnny Abarrientos will play for under the guidance of Tim Cone, who won titles with Alaska in the 90s with Johnny A leading the charge as his team’s chief playmaker. That’s the same role RJ will most likely have moving forward with Ginebra.
