Caitlin Clark Gives Stephen Curry Two-Word Nickname After Team USA Wins Gold.
The fourth quarter of the gold medal game was Stephen Curry’s time to shine, which Caitlin Clark recognized.
Curry dominated in the final period, especially the last three minutes. With the score at 82-79 with 2:58 remaining, he knocked down four consecutive three-pointers in that stretch, providing Team USA all the distance they needed to take down France 98-87 and secure gold for the fifth consecutive Olympics.
Making the gold medal game in his first and only Olympic appearance, Curry finished with 24 points and five assists on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. All the shots he made were from beyond the arc.
Following the game, Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark took to social media to celebrate the U.S.’s victory. With an Instagram story post, she described Curry’s dominance against the French with two words.
“Cheat code,” Clark said.
That he is indeed. What Curry did to propel Team USA to victory and cement themselves as arguably the greatest international squad of all time can’t be forgotten.
As for Curry, he completes his goal of winning gold in the Olympics as he looks forward to returning to Golden State to prepare for the 2024-25 NBA season.
