JUSTIN Brownlee won another championship, but this time in Indonesia.

Pelita Jaya Basketball Club bagged the Indonesia Basketball League title by completing a comeback from one game down against Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta, 73-65, in Game Three on Sunday at the Indomilk Arena.

Brownlee didn’t have a huge offensive night, scoring nine points on 3-of-12 shooting from the field. But his presence alone seemed to have galvanized the Pelita Jaya squad that captured its first championship since 2017 – and fourth overall.

Already a six-time PBA champion, Brownlee added the IBL title to his resume. He also has titles in the Asean Basketball League, Lebanon, and United Arab Emirates.

Brownlee had 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting from threes as Pelita Jaya forced a rubber match for the title with an 82-70 win.

Satria Muda took Game One, 84-71, but couldn’t finish off Pelita Jaya.

With the crown in the bag, Brownlee now heads to Mania to rejoin Barangay Ginebra as he looks to lead his team to the Season 49 Governors’ Cup crown.
